Q-Fin F1500 – Deburring, grinding and edge rounding upto 1500mm
Q-Fin’s machine program is getting wider. Literally. Finishing large sheet metal cut parts at high speed is now achievable with the F1500. This wide deburring machine has been developed by Q-Fin to finish flat sheet metal parts up to 1500 mm wide. The F1500 comes with vacuum or magnetic support and can be used for the following operations on non-ferrous or ferrous metals: deburring, grinding, edge breaking, edge rounding, slag removal, oxide layer removal, line finish. A combination of these operations is also possible.
With the F1500 made by Q-Fin you can easily and quickly deburr, round and/or finish sheet metal parts. Depending on the materials to be processed choose the vacuum or magnetic support system (resp. for non-ferrous and ferrous materials). The conveyor belt is adjusted accordingly. The machine is easy to operate by means of a touchscreen at the front.

Grinding Belt
The first station of the F1500 wide belt deburring machine consists of a grinding unit. The wide abrasive belt (equipped with an oscillation system) removes burrs and/or burn-in points from the product surface. If you do not have any burrs, you can leave the grinding belt off or remove it. Due to the stability of this grinding station it is also possible to apply a line finish to your product with a finer sanding belt (e.g. K320). The speed of the grinding belt is adjustable. The type and grit size of the grinding belt is optional depending on, among other things, the height and hardness of the burr. Changing a grinding belt is done in no time by means of the quick-release system.
Operation
With the Q-Fin F1500 you can deburr, edge round and/or finish sheet metal parts in one pass. Depending on the materials to be finished, you can opt for a system with vacuum or magnetic product fixation (for non-ferrous and ferrous materials respectively). The transport mat is tailored to the system of choice and is suitable for sheet metal parts from as small as 50 x 50 mm (MAG) or 80 x 80 mm (VAC) up to 1500 mm wide.
By varying the brush type and/or grit size, you determine the finish image and the amount of edge rounding yourself. The placement of special brushes also makes the F1500 with magnetic system very suitable for removing the oxide layer from steel products or deslag plasma-cut products. Multiple operations can be carried out in 1 passage at high speed.
Brush System
The second and third station of the F1500 consists of the brush unit, equipped with 4 cross rotating, oscillating disc brushes giving pressure on your product from above. This allows you to remove the sharp edges of the product by breaking the edges or providing them with a (large) radius.
The brush heads in this machine are equipped with the brush height compensation system developed by Q-Fin. In addition, this Q-Fin machine is also characterized by the great ease of operation through the multilingual HMI Touch Screen. The simple adjustment of the brushes ensures a constant, adjustable rounding at a high throughput.
